Guillermo Francisco Peroni Casal Ribeiro was a prominent Paraguayan lawyer, recognized for his extensive career in the legal and business fields of the country. He was born in Asunción and obtained his law degree in 1962 in Argentina and in 1968 in Paraguay. In 1968, he co-founded the law firm Peroni Sosa Tellechea Burt & Narvaja (PSTBN), which established itself as one of the most prestigious law firms in Paraguay.
Throughout his career, Dr. Peroni specialized in areas such as private international law, banking and financial law, privatizations, national and foreign investments, and the investigation of illicit acts of corruption in state entities. In addition, he was the author of the book “Paraguay: Laws and Economy” in 1985.
His leadership extended to various business and professional organizations. He was president of the Association of Financial Companies of Paraguay (1981-1982), of the Paraguayan-American Chamber of Commerce (1986-1987) and of the Paraguayan-Argentine Chamber of Commerce in two periods (1996-1998 and 2002-2004). He also served as honorary consul of the United Kingdom in Asunción.
Dr. Guillermo Peroni passed away on February 6, 2025, leaving a significant legacy in the legal and business fields of Paraguay.
